Our Story
What we’re about
Recycled.
All of the instruments we use are way passed their prime. They’ve been well used, and usually abused. We take over when they are not worth fixing, and then turn them into functional pieces of art.
Repurposed.
Anyone can play the trumpet or tuba when we are done with it. Just drop your smartphone into the dock, or pair it with blue tooth, and listen to your music amplified through the bell. It’s what these instruments were designed to do, just with a little twist.
Renewed.
We love the idea of bringing new life to these old, cast out instruments. Some of them haven’t been played in well over 50 years! With a few creative modifications and designs, they can be functional again in a new, fun way.
We strive to use as many recycled parts as possible. Most of our bases are made with repurposed scrap metal and wood. We fish around in acquired drawers full of random nuts and bolts to find the right sizes and pieces we need. Why buy something new and boring, when you can use something old that has character and maybe even a story?
We purchased Tabitha’s grandparents’ house in 2020. Most of our recycled parts (that aren’t instruments) have come from her grandfather’s garage/shop. He had been collecting these parts and pieces for over 50 years!
